Multiple senior players changed roles in June, as the industry prepares to wind down for the summer.
Michael Capelli was named head of electronic trading at Velocity Clearing, joining the firm from automation specialist Level2.

Meanwhile, Sebastien Guillaume moved from Stifel Bank to become head of securities for France at Rothschild & Co and Matteo Balladori took on the head of equity products title at SIX.

Heavy-hitting promotions were also seen. Herman Bots was promoted to global head of equities at Aberdeen, while Steven Asfour became head of trading after three years as head of market making at Zeus Capital Markets.
In a result that, by now, should surprise no one, Kepler Cheuvreux was the most active hirer in June, taking its total to 16 year-to-date.

Yet the giant was matched last month by Tavira Financial, which picked up two former Olivetree traders on its UK equities team.
